Four ways to listen. A shared goal: clear, accurate sound that works for you.

Sound is personal. Our purpose is practical.

Sound is subjective. The same earphone can feel relaxed to one person and intense to another. Your ears, your music and the way you listen all shape that experience.

At Tipsy, our goal is to make the most useful listening tools we can. Across the range, we keep our tuning controlled and focused on faithful reproduction, clarity and accuracy. If a song has powerful bass, you should hear it. If it does not, our aim is to preserve that balance instead of adding bass simply to make the track feel more dramatic.

Within that shared philosophy, each model has a different strength: M1 for easy everyday listening, M3 as a great all-rounder, M5 for the most detail and our strongest music recommendation, and TG4 for gaming with comfort as a priority.

01 / M1

Easy to live with, every day

M1 is a natural place to start if you want a warm, smooth presentation for everyday music. Its 10 mm bamboo-fiber dynamic driver handles the full frequency range, and the lightweight resin shells are approximately 4 g per side.

It suits the listener who wants to settle into a playlist and enjoy it. If you prefer that easygoing character, M1 can be the right choice regardless of how far your budget could stretch.

Choose M1 if: this is your first Tipsy IEM, or you want a light, uncomplicated companion for daily listening.

“It's a small shell. … it is very light and comfortable.”

02 / M3

A great all-rounder

M3 is our recommendation when you want one IEM for a bit of everything. Music, gaming and everyday listening all belong in its brief. Its hybrid design combines a 9.2 mm dynamic driver with two balanced armatures.

The appeal is balance: clear vocals, useful detail and a presentation that works across different content. If your day moves from albums to games and you want a versatile starting point, start with M3.

Choose M3 if: you want a capable all-rounder and give music and gaming similar importance.

“You can hear every little change, every little detail. … I've heard people reload beneath me.”

03 / M5

The most detail. Our first choice for music.

Of these four, M5 is our most revealing model and our strongest recommendation for music. It is the one to consider when you want to follow subtle textures, small details and individual layers throughout a recording.

Its five-driver system combines bone conduction, a dynamic driver, two balanced-armature units and a planar driver through a four-way crossover. The listening goal is to give you a fuller view of what is already in the recording.

There are two practical things to consider. First, M5 has a larger shell and tends to suit larger ears better. If your ears are small, give fit particular attention before choosing it.

Second, that revealing character carries into gaming. M5 picks up a great deal of audio information, including quieter background sounds and layered effects alongside important cues. Players who are sensitive to sound may find that level of detail tiring over a long session. Your preferred volume, the game’s mix and your own sensitivity will affect the experience.

Choose M5 if: music and hearing the most detail are your priorities, and its larger fit suits you. For long gaming sessions, weigh that detail against how much sound you enjoy taking in.

CUSTOMER VOICE · SEPARATION & DETAIL

“Instrument separation and imaging are superb. … Be prepared to hear every last detail of your music—I’m serious.”

04 / TG4

Gaming, with comfort at the center

TG4 is where we would start for most people buying primarily for gaming. Of these four models, it is also the one we would expect to offer the most comfortable fit for the widest range of listeners. Your own ear shape still decides the final fit.

Its four-driver hybrid design pairs one dynamic driver with three balanced armatures. A physical switch gives you Focus and Comfort profiles, while the included USB-C DAC cable adds an inline microphone. Web and Android tools let you adjust and save EQ.

Those choices make TG4 particularly useful when gaming is a regular, extended part of your day: a comfortable fit to aim for, voice chat ready, and a way to choose the sound profile that suits the session.

Choose TG4 if: gaming comes first and you value comfort, convenient voice chat and adjustable sound.

REVIEWER VOICE · BASS DETAIL FOR FPS

“It pushes that bass body out of the way and gives you bass detail…”

In the same review, he explains how hearing through low-end rumble helps him distinguish the detail of a footstep.

One last choice: the connection

M1 and M3: choose 3.5 mm Standard for a compatible analog output, or TC50 DSP USB-C for a built-in DAC/DSP, microphone and saved EQ. Each version includes one selected cable. The standard analog cable has no microphone or app EQ.

M5: includes the Legacy 3 cable, 3.5 mm / 4.4 mm / 6.35 mm adapters and a Turbo 3 USB-C DAC with USB-A converter.

TG4: includes its USB-C DAC cable and inline microphone. Check compatibility with your exact device before buying.

For compatible console use, keep firmware current and save DSP EQ through the web or Android tool first. TG4’s supplied USB connection and TC50 over USB do not support Xbox. M1/M3 with the standard 3.5 mm cable can provide listening through the controller’s headset jack; voice chat requires a separate microphone solution.

Choose the tool that fits your day

M1 for an easy everyday companion. M3 for a great all-rounder. M5 for music and the most detail, with fit and listening intensity in mind. TG4 for gaming and our first comfort recommendation for most people.

Take time to find ear tips that seal comfortably. Then choose around your ears, your content and the length of your usual sessions. That is where the right IEM starts to make sense.
